Introduction

RunLayer is a control plane for agent runs: configure agents, dispatch work, route inference across a GPU network, and settle usage with prepaid on-chain credits and auditable receipts.

What you build on RunLayer

  • Workspaces — one wallet-owned boundary for agents, API keys, prepaid balance, and run history.
  • Agents — versioned prompts and model tiers (fast, balanced, frontier) you dispatch by slug.
  • Runs — synchronous execute calls that return output, token usage, routing source, and a receipt id.
  • Prepaid credits — settlement-token denominated balance debited on metered agents; free tier for Quick ask.

Architecture at a glance

The console at https://runlayerlabs.xyz/console talks to the orchestrator API. The orchestrator persists workspace state in Postgres, executes agents (network nodes when available, disclosed Groq fallback otherwise), debits prepaid balances, and indexes vault deposits on Robinhood Chain.

Typical flow

  1. Connect Robinhood Chain wallet → sign in or complete one-time workspace onboarding.
  2. Fund prepaid credits (vault deposit on testnet/mainnet, or workspace onboarding grant).
  3. Dispatch POST /v1/runs with agent_id and input JSON.
  4. Store receipt_id and usage for support, analytics, and billing reconciliation.
